The Battery Conservancy honored The Estée Lauder Companies at the 23rd Annual Battery Gala on June 19th, hosted by Jo Malone — and Vogue just called it “The Chicest Garden Party in New York.”

John Demsey, Estée Lauder’s executive group president, was presented with the Battery Medal for Corporate Leadership by Leonard Lauder.

For more than 20 years, The Battery Gala has paid tribute to the historic parkland. The Gala supports the annual operating budget for The Battery Conservancy. The Battery is home to the largest perennial garden in North America.

The Estee Lauder Companies has supported the Battery’s revitalization efforts for the past 15 years.

Attendees included designers Rosie Assoulin, Gabriela Hearst, and Zac Posen.
